OUR MISSION

HLAA exists to support past, present, and future leaders of Hancock County.
Since 1985, over 1,000 area leaders have graduated from this annual program, representing over 300 area businesses and/or service organizations.
​The Hancock Leadership program is designed to develop and cultivate all people with a passion to serve our community through a dynamic learning experience that encourages self-discovery, fosters relationships and inspires stewardship. The Hancock Leadership program is a nationally recognized nine-month seminar program that meets one day a month to explore and learn more about the core of our community.

Erica Bickhart​

Erica Bickhart
Erica Bickhart is a 2020 graduate of Hancock Leadership and served as Community Committee co-chair for their project, Y on the Fly.  She is the Visitor Experience Manager at the Children’s Museum of Findlay and also works part-time at the Findlay YMCA.  Erica currently sits on the University of Findlay Curtain Raisers board as Events co-chair and previously served as publicity chair for Fort Findlay Playhouse and board secretary for the Findlay Light Opera Company.  She dedicates her time to working with the student actors and musicians of the community as a teaching artist and music director for Youtheatre programs at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts.  Erica enjoys watching her stepson play soccer and baseball for Liberty Benton, singing with Walt Sanders and the Cadillac Band, and performing as a Karen Carpenter tribute artist. 

​Nick Kulik

Nick Kulik
Nick Kulik, CFRE is the Chief Donor Engagement Officer at The Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation. He is a dynamic leader with a passion for helping donors maximize their philanthropy to support a variety of organizations. Locally, Nick is the President-Elect of Flag City Morning Rotary and participated in the Hancock Leadership Class of 2020. But most importantly, he is the husband of an amazing wife and proud father of two daughters.
 
Nick is an active member of the fundraising community serving on the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Global Board, is the former chair of the AFP Global Next Generation Committee, previously served on the AFP of Northwest Ohio board and has spoken at a variety of fundraising conferences around the country about young professional topics. He is a recipient of the AFP Global Outstanding Young Professional Award and Pi Kappa Phi National Fraternity’s Thirty Under 30 award. 

Stacy Poca​

Stacy Poca
Stacy Poca has spent most of her career in communications and marketing for higher education and large non-profit organizations. She currently is proud to serve the University of Findlay as a development officer. Go Oilers! A Findlay transplant, Stacy looks forward to her involvement in HLAA, as a new volunteer for Hancock Literacy, and getting involved with her two kids' new school. She and her family enjoy outdoor activities, family movie nights and taking advantage of all that Northwest Ohio has to offer!

Erin Schwiebert

Erin Schwiebert
Erin Schwiebert is a Diversity and Inclusion Consultant at Marathon Petroleum Company LP (MPC) in Findlay, Ohio.  She works to promote the message of diversity, equality and inclusion to employees, contractors, visitors and students.  She travels to all company locations coast to coast in the United States to share this content.  Erin started her MPC career in 2011 as a Talent Acquisition Recruiter where she traveled to various colleges and universities throughout the Midwest and Southeast to recruit students to positions at MPC.  

Erin is a two time graduate of Bowling Green State University in Ohio and possesses a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in her field.  Erin resides in Northwest Ohio with her husband Ryan, and their two sons: Mason (15) and Gavin (12). She enjoys spending her time working out, traveling, or being on various sports fields supporting her sons and the Patrick Henry Patriots. 

2019 HLAA AWARD WINNERS

The 2020 HLAA Awards were suspended due to the global situation.
HLAA will resume honoring distinguished alumni in 2021.
