Did You Know? HL Classes Have Contributed To The Community

Each year's Hancock Leadership class takes on a project to benefit the community.  Some of the HL projects include:

2002 - YANA (You Are Not Alone) Services to military and their families in aftermath of 9/11

2003 - Findlay|Hancock County Halloween Parade (taken over from Jaycees who disbanded)

2004 - Raffle/Dinner to benefit Hancock Leadership scholarship fund

2005 - Welcome signage at key points around town

2006 - Relocation of non-profit agencies to the Family Center

2007 - Cube playground

2008 - SKT (Special Kids Therapy) multi-sensory room

2009 - Exercise room at Agency on Aging

2010 - Habitat ReStore and West Park Improvements

2011 - Greenhouse for Blanchard Valley Center

2012 - Bicentennial Festival & creation of endowed fund at the Community Foundation

2013 - Reconstruction of J.T. Boyd pavilion at Boy Scout Camp

2014 - Safety pamphlets for each Hancock County household

2015 - Increase awareness and number of mentors for the Children’s Mentoring Connection;

2016 - Increase enrollment and host Family Literacy Nights for Dolly Parton Imagination Library

2017 - Installment of Buddy Benches within Findlay/Hancock County educational system

2018 - Creation of a Hidden in Plain Sights mobile trailer to educate parents/caregivers on drug prevention efforts
